Leapfrog

Book 1

Leapfrog is a fun game for children to play. The game has been around since at least the late 16th century.

Here's how to play:

What do I need to play?

You need at least three people. If you have an even number of players you could divide into teams for even more fun. You also need a lot of space.

Setting up the game

Have everyone stand in a line. The first player bends over, placing their hands on their knees so the player behind can vault over them, putting their hands on their shoulders for balance as they jump.
Some rules say you should kneel down on the ground and other players are not allowed to touch the other player with their hands.

Rules

One variation of Leapfrog involves having the jumping team jump over a series of obstacles, such as cones or small hurdles. This can make the game more challenging and fun for older players.
